1572-1575

Henry was an elected king of Poland. Henry was proclaimed king May 12, 1573 and his coronation took place February 21, 1574. Within a month, Henry recieved word that his brother was gravely ill and Charles died May 30, 1574.Henry left Poland June 18, 1574 disguised and at night. Although pursued by 200 horseman and Tatar archers, he eventually made his way back to France and became Henry III. Henry's reign lasted less than two years.
